Title The origins of Pathé-Natan
Author Gilles Willems
Translator Annabelle de Croÿ
Issue Issue 8, 1999.

It critically examines Charles Pathé's account of events, hitherto almost unquestioned. A more distanced analysis, backed up by corporate records, suggests that the merger was at least as profitable to Pathé and the company that bore his name as it was to Natan; and, moreover, that Natan's policies for the new company made sense in the climate of the times.
The article also provides some visual documentation
