Ewan Morris completed a PhD in the Department of History at the University of Sydney in 1997. His thesis was concerned with debates about national symbols in Ireland in the 1920s and 1930s. He is now employed as a Report Writer at the Waitangi Tribunal, Wellington, New Zealand, and is also an Honorary Research Associate at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. His book Our own devices: national symbols and political conflict in twentieth century Ireland will be published by Irish Academic Press.
