Gramman, Karola - Author Biography

Karola Gramman studied literature and film in Frankfurt am Main and in London. She was one of the editors of Fraüen und Film. She directed the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival for five years until 1989 and has since curated and firected many other film festivals showcasing independent, avant-garde and queer cinema. Her writing on film studies is extensive. Most recently she has been teaching film studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main.
